Joseph Henry Kvasnicka, 90, of Henrico, NC died Friday, August 20, 2010, at Halifax Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Kvasnicka was a native of Prince George County, VA, the son of the late Frank Paul Kvasnicka and Katherine Koffron Kvasnicka. He served his country in the U.S. Army Corp during WWII, being stationed in England.

He is survived by his wife, Eloise Springmann; three daughters, Jeanie Showalter and her husband, Ben, of Leesburg, VA, Peggy Winston of St. Simons Island, GA, and JoAnne Holcomb and her husband, Roger, of Taneytown, MD; six sons, Gary Kvasnicka and his wife, Crystal, of Colonial Heights, VA, Dennis Springmann of Thornburg, VA, Steven Springmann and his wife, Mary, of Fairfax, VA, Michael Springmann and his wife, Cathy, of Windchester, VA, Kurt Springmann and his wife, Dorothy, of Arlington, VA, and Rick Springmann and his wife, Gina, of Henrico, NC; twenty-two grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; four sisters, Margaret Sims of Arlington, VA, Dorothy Holt of Nathalie, VA, Ann Baugham and her husband, J. T. of Spotsylvania, VA, and Mary Frances Bishoff of Mississippi; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The flag in front of the funeral home flies at half-staff in honor of Mr. Kvasnicka’s service to his country.
